“No Buzz” Over Drew McIntyre’s Return In WWE

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks but now it looks like WWE doesn’t have the star back on board for Money In The Bank.

At WrestleMania 39 in April, Drew McIntyre competed in an incredible triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship with the champion GUNTHER and Drew’s best friend Sheamus. They would go on to have one of the best matches of the year with GUNTHER finding a way to win to continue his impressive reign as the champion.

Since then, the former two-time WWE Champion McIntyre has been absent from television as speculation takes hold about his future in the company.

It has been reported that McIntyre’s contract is set to expire in early 2024 and there are apparently concerns about his creative direction in WWE. This has led to speculation that McIntyre could be willing to leave if he’s not happy about how he’s being used in the company.

With Money In The Bank taking place in the UK, there had been suggestions that WWE was looking to get the Scottish star back on television but that now doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

Now PWInsider has reported that within WWE there are still no concrete plans to bring Drew McIntyre back into the fold and there was said to be “no buzz internally” about the Scottish star being any part of Money In The Bank.

One star who could be set for an imminent return is Randy Orton who has spent over a year on the shelf dealing with injury issues.
