Significant Update On Randy Orton’s WWE Status

Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been missing from WWE for over a year but now it seems the star could be set for a big return to the company.

Orton last competed on the 20th of May 2022 edition of SmackDown where he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to The Usos with injury issues putting him on the shelf for the past year.

The star underwent back surgery in November 2022 and there has been little clue from either Orton or WWE about when or if he is expected to return to the ring. Orton’s own father, WWE Hall of Famer Cowboy Bob Orton, has previously stated that doctors have told The Viper not to return to the squared circle. However, there now seems to be more hopeful news for Orton’s supporters.

WRKD Wrestling has now reported that Randy Orton could be on his way back to WWE screens sooner rather than later and could even make a shock appearance at Money In The Bank in London, England:

“Randy Orton is expected to be nearing a return, possibly even as soon as this weekend’s Money In The Bank. Orton has been out of action since May of 2022 with a serious back injury.”

Orton’s tag team partner Matt Riddle will be in action at Money In The Bank as he challenges GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship. Given the champion’s advantage with his Imperium stablemates no doubt far away, Riddle could surely use an RK-Bro reunion now more than ever.
