NJPW Star On AJ Styles Return – “Anything Is Possible”

AJ Styles

With the Forbidden Door barely hanging by its hinges, an NJPW star has said that “anything is possible” in relation to AJ Styles returning to the company.

Following his long stint in TNA, AJ Styles became an international sensation when he joined New Japan Pro Wrestling, leading Bullet Club and becoming a two-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

Styles was part of an exodus of talent from the Japanese promotion in early 2016 that saw him, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Shinsuke Nakamura all join WWE. During his time with WWE, Styles climbed wrestling’s highest mountain and captured the WWE Championship. But will AJ Styles ever set foot in an NJPW ring again? And more specifically what are The Phenomenal One’s plans when his OC teammate Karl Anderson returns to the promotion at Wrestle Kingdom on the 4th of January?

AEW broadcaster Renee Paquette asked that question of NJPW star and a member of the promotion’s office, Rocky Romero, on The Sessions. When asked if Styles could show up to accompany Anderson for his NEVER Openweight Title match in the Tokyo Dome, a smiling Romero simply said “anything is possible.”

Anderson’s opponent at the event – Tama Tonga – took to social media to tell AJ Styles he was more than welcome to come to Wrestle Kingdom to watch Tonga “smash his boy.”
