New Version Of WWE Bloodline Faction Pitched
A WWE Hall of Famer thinks a different kind of Bloodline faction could be successful.
The Bloodline stable, led by Roman Reigns, began when Reigns returned from a break in late summer 2020 and quickly became a massive story involving his family.
As The Bloodline turned into a stable with Roman Reigns, The Usos – Jimmy & Jey Uso, Paul Heyman as the Wise Man, and additions like Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn, they dominated WWE. Reigns was the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for 1,316 days while The Usos held the Tag Team Titles for a record run.
Eventually, The Bloodline disbanded, and Solo led his own version, which led to a feud with Reigns and The Usos.
During the prime days of The Bloodline, many fans inquired about women being part of the group, such as Jimmy’s wife, Naomi, and their cousin, Nia Jax.
WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi is the father of The Usos and Solo Sikoa, making him also Naomi’s father-in-law. On his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi spoke about Jimmy and Naomi working together in WWE whenever Naomi returns to the company.
“I think at any given time that can work. Because there’s a lot of things to factor in right now, being a mother and so forth. But I’m sure once you get tired of being home, it’s time to get back out on the road. I’m sure she probably don’t want to come back and bounce around in the ring. But anytime you can come and just stand by the ring and be a valet or be a manager or be a wise man, that’s an easy gig.”
Naomi left WWE television last summer when she announced she was pregnant with Jimmy’s child. The couple hasn’t announced the birth of the baby yet.
“They’re both young enough, they’re both still in good shape to be able to come back and whatever that’s set out for them to be a part of, I think it definitely can work. I think they can carry the ball, whatever is thrown to them. They’re that good of a worker.
As far as going through the test of times of being an employee of the WWE, I think they surpassed all that. They’ve been there for 17 years. It’s a trusted employee. It’s an employee that’s not a liability. It’s an employee that, if we throw them the ball, they’ll be able to carry it. And we definitely know it’s an employee that can sell merchandise.”
Could WWE Run A Female Version Of The Bloodline Too?
The WWE women’s division is stronger than ever. Naomi and Nia Jax are both multiple-time Women’s Champions and Women’s Tag Team Champions, so they know all about holding gold. In Rikishi’s mind, a women’s version of The Bloodline could succeed in WWE too.
“I think it’d be a great t-shirt to have Naomi on there for the first time with the Bloodline. I think that’d be great to have the girls, Naomi, Nia Jax, to be a part of the Bloodline females. Just throwing it out there.”
