Nattie Wants Female Star’s Arrival In WWE
Former women’s champion Nattie has revealed which female wrestler she would like to see competing in WWE.
The Lowkey Legend has quite the eye for new talents, having competed in several promotions in the independent circuit as well as the Stamford promotion for nearly two decades.
After ending her feud with her protege Maxxine Dupri earlier this year, the Canadian legend entered into a rivalry with NXT’s Jaida Parker.
With Nattie not elaborating on her criticism of Parker, the 27-year-old star took issue with the veteran wrestler, even turning up unannounced at her Dungeon 2.0 and attacking her before being evicted by the students present there.
It set up a match between them on the June 16 taping of the developmental brand.
The match delivered on all fronts, especially the technical aspect. Knowing Nattie’s history with technical wrestling, Parker was forced to adapt to her wrestling style to come up with unique maneuvers to have any chance of beating her senior adversary.
However, the 44-year-old member of the Hart wrestling family brought her experience to come out on top, making Jaida Parker tap out to her Sharpshooter.
Nattie Advocates For Rhio’s Future With WWE
It remains to be seen if Jaida Parker is in Nattie’s rearview or whether their feud will continue on NXT.
Meanwhile, the Canadian superstar recently appeared for a virtual interview with The A2theK Wrestling Show.
The host spoke about UK wrestlers making a name for themselves in NXT, including Lizzy Rain and Mason Rook. She was then asked for her thoughts about Rhio, whom she has trained and is currently signed to Progress Wrestling.
Responding to it, the WWE veteran heaped praise on the 30-year-old, even advocating a future for her in the Stamford promotion. Nattie also shared her experience of watching Rhio train in The Dungeon, which left her impressed.
I would love to wrestle Rhio. She’s somebody that I would love to get my hands on and I would love to see her in WWE. Even just watching her train in The Dungeon, she worked her a** off, and really poured her soul into the ring and I always say that when people come to The Dungeon, you gotta keep your spot, you know what I mean? Because we don’t have that much space.
She further claimed that she could see Rhio taking on different women in the company, including the WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, and Becky Lynch.
So when I let somebody come in, when I invite someone into The Dungeon like Rhio, I loved watching her really, really earn her spot in there, and she’s somebody that I think, when the time is right, I think she’d be an incredible addition to WWE and to our women’s roster because she loves wrestling, she’s passionate about it, she’s hardworking, she brings a different edge to her that I’m like, ‘Man, I could see Rhio in there with Rhea Ripley, I could see Rhio in there with Bianca Belair, I could see Rhio in there with Charlotte Flair, myself, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch.’ I think she’s got a really cool hybrid style.
What stands out most to me about Rhio, she’s got grit. She’s not afraid to get knocked on her a** and you know she’s gonna get back up and keep fighting. [H/T: Fightful]
Rhio receiving Nattie’s stamp of approval highlights the talent the British wrestler possesses. Whether WWE sees her in the same light is a different topic altogether.
