MJF’s Plan Backfires In AEW; Almost Gets Embarrassed

The main event of AEW Dynamite tonight saw Darby Allin put his AEW World Championship on the line once again, just days before his high-profile title defense at Double or Nothing.

The Daredevil is set to defend his title in a ‘Title vs Hair’ match at this weekend’s show against former World Champion, MJF. However, he had to overcome another challenge tonight to get to the match.

Alli has been putting his title on the line every week since becoming champion and faced Speedball Mike Bailey in yet another title match tonight. The two men gave it their all in the match as Darby retained the belt.

Darby Allin turns the tables on AEW Dynamite

Following the match, both Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey wished Allin luck in his match against MJF. They told him that they’re on his side at Double or Nothing, but will be coming back for the belt after Darby retains against Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

As they left the ringside area, MJF jumped from the crowd and attacked Darby from behind. He took him out with a couple of strikes before bringing a trimmer into the equation.

MJF tried to shave Allin’s head while he was knocked out, but the champion stopped him just before he could get the machine to his head. Allin turned the tables on MJF and had him trapped under his knee before proceeding to shave MJF’s head in retaliation, but the Salt of the Earth managed to get out of the situation and retreated to the back, just in time.
