MJF’s AEW World Title reign could already be in jeopardy.

MJF is one of the best homegrown talents in AEW. Since joining the company, he has established himself as one of the biggest heels in the company. Before Double or Nothing 2026, Maxwell had two successful World Title reigns. At Double or Nothing, Friedman defeated Darby Allin to become the AEW World Champion for the third time.

However, since he became champion, it looks like challengers are lining up to face him. Tonight on AEW Dynamite, Andrade made it clear that he wants to face Maxwell Jacob Friedman for the AEW World Title. Now, Maxwell has to deal with another challenger.

RUSH wants a title shot against MJF

Tonight on AEW Dynamite, MJF came out to the ring to celebrate his win from Double or Nothing 2026. He said that there have only been eight men to win the World Title three times before the age of 30, and he is part of this elite list. He then asked the fans to get on their knees and bow down to him.

However, Maxwell was interrupted by Mark Briscoe, who reminded the World Champion that he had beaten him before. He then told the Salt of the Earth that he wants a title shot. Maxwell told him that it was bad enough that Darby got a sniff of the World Title. Hence, Mark Briscoe is not getting a title shot because he is not on the level of The Devil. The World Champion walked away. As he was walking up the ramp, RUSH’s music played, and he came out.

RUSH called Maxwell chicken s**t. He also said that he had come close to beating him before and demanded a title shot. Friedman agreed and said that RUSH has earned himself a title shot. He then said that RUSH will get his title shot next week.

MJF’s World Championship reign could be in serious jeopardy since RUSH is a serious contender for the title.
