MJF retains the AEW World Championship tonight
Both wrestlers began the match in a competitive manner, with both of them looking to take control of the fight. After a lot of back and forth, MJF took control of the match, but Kevin Knight hit back hard.
He had injured his ribs, but continued to fight against the champion as he had his eyes on the title. He almost won the title from MJF after a flurry of attacks. Knight had the champion trapped in the turnbuckle and hit him with a coast-to-coast.
Just as @The_MJF was going to attack @Jet2Flyy after their match, Hangman and @SpeedballBailey helped their Jet Set Rodeo partner!

He followed it up with a UFO Splash and had him down for the pin, but MJF had kicked the referee into the ropes, causing him to miss the pin attempt, which had the champion down for more than a three-count.
Knight attempted another splash after the referee came back, but the Salt of the Earth had his knees up this time. He then followed it up with a Heatseeker to Knight and pinned him to retain the championship.
