MJF Heaps Praise On Major WWE Star

MJF supports The Man.

Happy Gilmore 2 is set to be released on July 25, and the movie will feature appearances from a whole host of wrestling stars such as Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, and MJF.

While Lynch and Bella have cameos, the AEW star features as one of Gilmore’s sons — a role that helped endear him to Adam Sandler in the process.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, MJF talked up Lynch while throwing shade at her current rival Lyra Valkyria.

“I’m a big fan of Becky Lynch. Hate that Lyra (Valkyria) girl. I agree with Becky. [Lyra] stinks. I’m a staunch Becky Lynch supporter. If you have an issue with Becky Lynch, I have an issue with you. Not into this Lyra chick. Something is up with her. She’s probably a bad person,”

The AEW star went on to say he’s “good friends” with Lynch, adding that the pair go “way back.”

At SummerSlam, Becky Lynch will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Lyra Valkyria. If Lynch wins, Valkyria will be unable to challenge for the title again while she’s champion.

The pair most recently clashed at Evolution in a Triple Threat Match also involving Bayley.

MJF Challenges Goldberg

During the same conversation, MJF said that he’d love to give Goldberg the send-off he deserves by embarrassing him in AEW.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, Goldberg wrestled his final match against Gunther. However, he’s since openly criticsed WWE’s handling of his farewell while refusing to rule out ever wrestling again.

In response, the Salt of the Earth said that he’s ready to face Goldberg if he decides to lace up his boots one more time.
