Mercedes Mone has had a tough 2026 till now as the AEW star has suffered loss after loss ever since losing the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale on last year’s final episode of Dynamite.

She held the title for a record 584 days and became the longest reigning TBS Champion in history, breaking Jade Cargill’s record of 508 days as the inaugural champion.

However, ever since losing the title, Mone has been absent from AEW programming and hasn’t been seen in the All Elite promotion since the January 10 episode of Collision.

Having been absent from television for months now, it seems like Mone might be making an appearance, either tonight at Dynasty or during this coming week’s episode of Dynamite.

She took to social media and dropped a cryptic hint of a possible return to the promotion as she posted a GIF on her X account, which said “Soon”, leading to widespread speculation regarding her future.

Huge night of action planned for AEW Dynasty

The Tony Khan-led promotion is set to host only their second pay-per-view of the year and has a tall task of following up on the amazing Revolution PPV.

It seems like Khan has come out with all guns blazing as the match card for Dynasty promises an exciting night of action for the AEW faithful. The Zero Hour itself will see two titles be defended as both the Women’s tag team titles and the National Championship on the line.

Other interesting matches on the card see Jon Moxley take on Will Ospreay while Andrade faces Darby Allin. Chris Jericho’s long-awaited return to the ring is marked for tonight as he takes on Ricochet.

The new TNT Champion will be decided tonight as well in an intriguing Casino Gauntlet match, and MJF defends the AEW World Title against former champion Kenny Omega.
