Mauro Ranallo In Talks Over Shock Wrestling Return

Mauro Ranallo WWE

Mauro Ranallo lit up WWE with his unique brand of commentary for five years and now it seems he could be back at the announce desk in the wrestling world.

Ranallo joined WWE in 2015 as the play-by-play announcer on SmackDown and impressed many fans with his passion and knowledge. In 2017, it looked like Mauro Ranallo’s time in the company was coming to an end as reports swirled about JBL bullying his commentary colleague.

Instead of leaving WWE, Ranallo instead became the voice of NXT where he helped elevate the drama of some of the brand’s top matches ever. With the pandemic in full swing in 2020, Ranallo announced his exit from WWE. Since then Ranallo’s only foray in pro wrestling came in TNA where he called the Rebellion 2021 main event between Rich Swann and Kenny Omega.

Mauro Ranallo To Make Wrestling Return?

Fightful Select has reported that Mauro Ranallo could be heading back to pro wrestling for the first time in three years. MLW is said to have been in talks with Ranallo about a deal to bring him into the company but nothing has been agreed as of yet.

Ranallo primarily calls the action on MMA events and has a relationship with MLW owner Court Bauer after working together on a Strikeforce project in the past.

It has been a turbulent time for wrestling announcers recently with Kevin Kelly appearing to have been fired by AEW after an outburst on social media.
