Matt Hardy has given an update on his brother after Jeff Hardy was sent home from WWE live events earlier this week.

PWInsider reported that Jeff Hardy was not present at a live event being held in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 5th, saying that he had been sent home.

At an event the previous night, in Edinburg, Texas, Hardy was part of the main event, teaming with King Woods and Drew McIntyre to take on The Bloodline in a six-man tag team match. Hardy was said to have been in the ring for the majority of the bout, taking punishment from Roman Reigns and The Usos, and became sluggish as time wore on. Once he tagged his partners in, Hardy made his exit through the crowd and did not come back to the ring to celebrate with his team .

The report went on to say that Hardy was replaced by Rey Mysterio in the six-man main event in Corpus Christi.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed the PWInsider report on Twitter, saying that the ‘Charismatic Enigma’ was sent home after the “rough night” in Edinburg, Texas.

“Unfortunately can confirm PWInsider’s report that Jeff Hardy was sent home after what was called a “rough night” for him, that became evident as last night’s live event match went on.

Best wishes to Hardy.”

Speaking on Twitch, Matt Hardy revealed that he’s spoken to Jeff, saying he is at home and doing okay.

“I did speak to Jeff for a little bit today. He’s okay. He’s good. I think he’ll be fine. once again, this isn’t my business. If he wants to go into it with more detail, he’ll do it himself. Jeff is okay. He is at home and okay.

“It’s not my business or story to tell or explain. Besides that, it’s not my story to tell because it’s not my perspective. I love my brother and I want him to be okay and healthy.”

Jeff Hardy was a member of Team SmackDown in the traditional 5 vs. 5 Tag Team match at Survivor Series. Since then, has competed on SmackDown teaming with McIntyre to face Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss on November 26th.
