Matt Cardona Legitimately Injures WWE SmackDown Star
A WWE star recently detailed the injuries they suffered at the hands of Matt Cardona during their match.
Cardona returned to the Stamford promotion on January 2, 2026, revealing himself as the mystery opponent of Kit Wilson.
The ‘Indy God’ expectedly won the bout that lasted just over 4 minutes, during which he put on show several maneuvers that kept his crafty opponent neutralized.
Cardona hit the Rough Ryder before getting a pinfall.
Since then, the duo has been at each other’s crosshairs. A couple of weeks ago, Wilson ambushed Matt Cardona at ringside after his loss to Trick Williams on SmackDown.
The following week, they were involved in a backstage confrontation, in which Cardona challenged Wilson to a match.
Kit Wilson Reveals How Matt Cardona Injured Him
One-half of the Pretty Deadly duo, Kit Wilson, recently sat down with Chris Van Vliet for a chat on the latter’s Insight podcast.
The 31-year-old revealed that he was happy about Matt Cardona’s return to the company, but their bout left him bruised and damaged, including a chipped tooth.
Yeah… you’d think being good friends with the very slay Chelsea Green that maybe there was some kind of friendship there. Matt Cardona comes out — fantastic, I’m very excited. He messed my nose up.
He then pointed to his nose, revealing that it bothered him for two weeks and that he had suffered a chipped tooth, which led to a trip to the dentist.
I don’t know if you can see it, I’ve got makeup here — this was a mess for two weeks. I had two big boot marks here, which are still faintly there. I chipped my tooth. I went to the dentist! I think it was the Broski Boot. It could’ve been anything.
I rolled out of the ring and I had something in my mouth. I went to spit it out only to realize, ‘This is a tooth.’ I sent him the bill though — I found his email. [H/T: Ringside News]
During the interview, Wilson even provided a health update on his tag partner, Elton Prince, who has been out of action since May 2025.
