Major WWE Star Expected To Make TV Return (Spoiler)

WWE Logo over Roster

A former multiple WWE Champion is rumored to make a return to television after a lengthy absence.

It appears as if former two-time WWE Champion AJ Styles is set to make his return to SmackDown after spending two months away from the brand.

The last time AJ Styles had a match in WWE was three months ago on September 15th when he lost in singles action to Finn Balor. The reason Styles lost that match was because of interference from The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso.

In the storyline, Styles had aligned himself with John Cena and it appeared that they would become a tag team, but The Bloodline took Styles out on the September 22nd episode of SmackDown. Styles was attacked backstage and ended up taking a ride in an ambulance to sell an injury.

Over the last three months, there have been multiple reports about Styles returning to WWE television.

When Is AJ Styles Expected To Make His WWE Return?

It has been reported by PWInsider’s MIke Johnson that AJ Styles is expected to return tonight on the December 15th episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown in Green Bay.

That could also mean that Styles will return on the December 22nd episode of SmackDown since WWE is taping two episodes to give talent a week off leading into Christmas.

As for the previous reports of a Styles return, PWI noted that WWE changed their mind about a Styles return in the past. Starting with this week’s Smackdown show, Styles will be back on the road for the company.

AJ Styles is 46 years old with a wife and four kids at home, so while fans might miss hi in the ring, he is a man with a busy life who likely appreciates the time at home as well.
