Major WWE Star Has Expiring Contract In Mid-2024

A top WWE name is set to become a free agent in mid-2024 unless they can reach a contract agreement before that.

Seth “Freakin” Rollins has been the WWE World Heavyweight Champion on the Raw brand since May 2023. In the six months of his title reign, Seth Rollins has successfully defended the title against many big names like Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre to name a few.

As for his future, it has been reported by Fightful Select that Rollins’ contract with World Wrestling Entertainment is set to expire in June 2024. The report noted that as of a couple of weeks ago, there haven’t been discussions regarding a contract extension although there is plenty of time to discuss a new deal over the next six months.

It was also noted that Rollins is well-liked and respected within the company, which is clear based on his position as one of the biggest stars on the Raw brand. The Fightful story added that there will “obviously be an offer made at some point” while WWE sources made it clear that Rollins would be a priority when it comes to signing a new deal.

The fact that Rollins has an expiring contract with WWE puts him in the same spot as his main event-level wife Becky Lynch, whose deal also expires around June 2024.

It is well-known that World Wrestling Entertainment signed many wrestlers to five-year deals in 2019 when AEW launched as a way to lock many of them into long-term deals at the time. Many of those five-year deals are up in 2024, but Fightful did note they weren’t sure if Rollins signed his deal in 2019.

Some other wrestlers who are known to have expiring contracts in 2024 are WWE’s Drew McIntyre, AEW’s QT Marshall & Dustin Rhodes, MLW’s Alex Hammerstone and IMPACT/TNA’s Deonna Purrazzo.

Seth Rollins Tells WWE Fans What He Thinks About CM Punk

During the WWE weekend live events, Seth Rollins successfully defended his World Heavyweight Title against Shinsuke Nakamura at events in Utica, New York and State College, PA.

At the WWE live event on December 9th in Utica, fans chanted “CM Punk” at Rollins, so Seth replied that “I’m the friggin’ best in the world” rather than Punk.

One night later on December 10th in State College, those fans also chanted for CM Punk, so Rollins called Punk a bum and once again stated that he (Rollins) was the best in the world.

It has been rumored that WWE might go with a Seth Rollins-CM Punk match at WrestleMania 40, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
