Major Star May Not Return To WWE

WWE is losing another star.

Right now, the global juggernaut has some of the top stars out of action owing to injuries. However, they are expected to return to the company once the injuries have healed.

The star who may not return to WWE is a beloved commentator who has worked some matches as well!

Pat McAfee might not return to WWE

McAfee was last seen as a WWE commentator for RAW in June 2025. He took a break because of his other commitments, but did return for Wrestlepalooza in September 2025.

Recently, he addressed his status with the Stamford-based promotion. He revealed that the business seems to have passed him by, and for the time being, he will continue to watch it.

I don’t think you ever say never, especially with WWE. But right now it does not feel like it is something is supposed to happen. Feels like that business has kind of passed me by a little bit. I grew up loving it, dreamed to work in it. Feel honored that I had the opportunity to work alongside the GOAT Michael Cole. I feel like the biz is in a good spot without me. I’ll continue to watch.
