Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio’s WWE Booking Sparks Internal Frustration
The latest report provided details on internal frustration regarding the booking of Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan in the WWE.
Liv Morgan started off 2026 huge by winning the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She also went on to capture the Women’s World title at WrestleMania 42. However, Morgan has yet to defend her title despite holding the title for more than a month and has competed on TV only once since Mania.
On the other hand, Dominik Mysterio lost his Intercontinental Championship to Penta earlier this year and also lost to Finn Balor at WrestleMania 42 after a personal feud. Dominik also competed in a televised match only once since Mania, as he successfully defended his AAA Mega title on RAW last month.
There is frustration and criticism regarding Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio’s WWE booking
According to a report by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there is some internal frustration about how Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio have been utilized since WrestleMania 42:
We have learned that in the weeks following WrestleMania, there has been some mild internal frustration and criticism regarding the utilization of both Liv Morgan and Dominic Mysterio.”
Liv Morgan was reportedly planned to continue her storyline with Stephanie Vaquer after WrestleMania 42, but Vaquer’s injury altered those plans:
According to a source within WWE, creative plans for Morgan originally included a continuation of her storyline with Stephanie Vaquer. However, following Vaquer’s injury, there was little adjustment made to ensure Morgan remained a consistent focal point of Monday Night Raw after those plans were altered.”
The report also said that Dominik not being regularly in-ring active since Mania reflects on him being more visible as a character:
As for Mysterio, a source indicated his recent lack of in-ring activity is more a reflection of current creative priorities than any concern surrounding the performer himself. We’re told there has been an effort to keep Dom as visible as a character, even if meaningful match opportunities have been limited in recent weeks.”
The report concluded that Dominik’s involvement will increase heading into the road to AAA TripleMania, and Liv Morgan is expected to be more active on RAW:
That said, we’re hearing Mysterio’s involvement in ongoing storylines is expected to increase as the road to TripleMania continues. Meanwhile, sources indicate Morgan should become more active on Monday nights in the very near future, regardless of Vaquer’s status.” [H/T Ringside News]
