Kurt Angle has given his thoughts on Edge possibly leaving WWE.

Fans of WWE know there’s a long history between Kurt Angle and Edge going back to the year 2000 when they were known as Team ECK when they were joined by Christian. There was even “Team RECK” when Rhyno teamed with them as well.

Edge and Angle also had a memorable feud in the spring of 2002, which led to Edge winning a Hair Match at Judgment Day 2002. Angle lost that match and has had the bald look for over 20 years since then.

While Angle retired from wrestling over four years ago, Edge is still going at the age of 49 (he’ll be 50 later this morning). Rumors are swirling about the possibility of Edge signing with All Elite Wrestling since Edge’s WWE deal has apparently expired now. There are some people who believe Edge could appear on AEW TV as soon as tonight at the WrestleDream PPV in Seattle.

Kurt Angle believes Edge’s loyalty to WWE will prevent a run with AEW

On a recent episode of the Kurt Angle Show podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer explained why he thinks Edge will not sign with AEW.

“I think Edge is loyal to WWE. He’s been loyal since day one. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of other wrestlers have crossed over, especially his best friend and kind of brother, Christian, but I just don’t see Edge doing that. I really believe he’s going to be WWE for life.”

Speaking of Christian Cage, he’ll be defending the TNT Championship in the main event of AEW WrestleDream against Darby Allin, who will be in his hometown of Seattle.
