Edge Will Be Free To Appear At AEW WrestleDream

With fuel constantly being added to the fire, it would seem that Edge would be available if a deal could be made to get him to WrestleDream.

Edge officially stepped away from WWE during the summer, although it was quickly confirmed that there was an offer of an extension to his deal on the table if he wanted it. However, speculation was soon rife that he could appear elsewhere in the wrestling industry.

The biggest rumor was of him reuniting with Christian Cage over an AEW, with one more run for the iconic tag team seen as a tantalising proposition for fans.

On the most recent edition of AEW Dynamite, Jay White was attacked at the end of the show by an unknown assailant, with many feeling that this could be the way ‘The Rated R Superstar’ is brought in to the company ahead of this weekend’s WrestleDream pay-per-view.

“You Think Edge Might Show Up?”

A new report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio would also tie in with this speculation, claiming that if he wanted to do so then the former World Champion would be free from his WWE contract this weekend.

The report actually states that Edge’s WWE deal expires on Saturday – just 24 hours before WrestleDream, meaning it is certainly a possibility. However, the man himself has been quiet on the subject, releasing a video soon after his final days in WWE to say that nothing was going on and that he was taking some time to enjoy life.
