Kofi Kingston On His Mentality As A WWE Superstar
When it comes to how he feels about being a WWE Superstar, Kofi Kingston is all about putting on the best show possible for the fans.
Kofi Kingston is one of the most well-liked veterans on the WWE roster with nearly 15 years of experience at this point. Kofi has done it all in WWE as a former WWE Champion in 2019. Kofi has also won the Tag Team Titles with New Day over ten times and he has a WWE record of 14 title reigns as a Tag Team Champion.
The New Day’s Xavier Woods and Kingston are the current NXT Tag Teams Champions as well after winning the titles last month at Deadline.
As most WWE fans know, the big news in the company right now is the expectation that Executive Chairman Vince McMahon wants to sell the company. When that happens is unknown just like who the buyer might be, but it’s obviously a big talking point in the business right now.
While speaking to CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri on SHAK Wrestling, Kofi was asked about the potential WWE sale and rather than saying anything controversial, he spoke about how he views his role as a WWE superstar.
“I think we kind of all have the same mentality, like whatever happens outside of the company is going to happen. We really have no idea what’s transpiring, but our role remains the same, it’s just go out there and put on great matches. That is the one thing, regardless of whoever’s in charge or whoever owns this or that, you know what I mean, that’s what we’re gonna do. That’s what we’re always gonna do.”
“So that is the most important thing, I think, the mentality for us is just to kind of, like you said, laser vision and keep putting on great matches. So that’s what we’re gonna do.”
