Kevin Owens Posts Heartbreaking 3-Word Message Amid WWE Hiatus
Kevin Owens is currently sidelined indefinitely from action due to a serious neck and spinal cord injury.
His last match took place at Elimination Chamber 2025, where he wrestled Sami Zayn in a singles match. Owens was scheduled to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41. However, he was pulled from the event due to health issues.
Back in January 2025, Owens started having neck and spinal cord issues, which worsened dramatically by April 2025. His condition was so bad that he was experiencing severe neck pain, numbness in his arms, and buckling in his legs in the ring. As a result, he was pulled from TV and forced to go on a hiatus.
Later, in July 2025, Owens underwent successful neck fusion surgery to heal the issues. According to reports, Owens is scheduled to undergo a crucial medical reevaluation this summer to see how well his bones have fused and assess his overall healing progress.
Neck fusion surgery generally involves an unpredictable recovery process. Therefore, it is unclear when Owens will return to the ring. However, BodySlam+ reports that WWE is tentatively hopeful he will be cleared for action in late 2026.
Kevin Owens Shares a Sad Post on Twitter
Amidst his absence, Kevin Owens is currently at home recovering from his injury. He recently tweeted a three-word message on X, revealing that he misses being inside the ring very much.
He tweeted, “I miss wrestling.”
I miss wrestling.

Although Owens hasn’t been able to wrestle and is absent from weekly television, he has stayed involved with the company in a non-wrestling capacity. He recently joined WWE LFG Season 3 as a coach to help mentor younger talent.
Kevin has stated that he joined LFG because he’s “losing” his mind staying at home, as he misses wrestling so much. Plus, he loves helping younger talents.
