Kevin Owens Was Annoyed By Not Being In Money In The Bank Match

Despite having a major role while in the UK, Kevin Owens has admitted he would have liked the opportunity to claim the briefcase at Money In The Bank.

As part of the festivities as WWE brought a signature Premium Live Event to the United Kingdom, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn put their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against Pretty Deadly on Friday Night SmackDown at the O2 Arena. Whilst they left with their reign still in tact, it meant that Owens and Zayn were limited to just making a passing appearance on Money In The Bank rather than competing on the night.

Now, in a discussion with Mark Andrews on My Love Letter To Wrestling, Kevin Owens has discussed how he was actually annoyed at not being involved in the event’s signature match, as it’s an environment he feels he thrives in.

I’m actually a little annoyed I’m not in it this year. I love ladders. Yeah, I love ladder matches. I think I thrive in them. So to not get to do it kind of sucks.

This didn’t take away from the fact Owens was pleased to have returned to the United Kingdom, as he opened up on how the crowds differ to in the United States.

My first time was in 2006 and it’s always been great. It’s always a treat to come here. It seems like they appreciate it more. Yeah, I know maybe the US fans might, you know, that might take an exception to that, but it’s just the way it is.

It’s been a big year so far for Kevin Owens, as he also headlined WrestleMania for the second year in a row. He recently discussed which of those two main events slightly edged out the other.
