Kevin Nash Tells The Rock – “Sorry I Was Such A D*ck”

The Rock raises the Peoples Eyebrow

WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash has publicly apologised to The Rock for being “such a d*ck” to the People’s Champion back in 2002.

By that time, The Rock was one of the biggest Superstars in the history of WWE and had begun to take steps into the acting world and his first starring role, The Scorpion King, was about to be released and catapult him into a career in Hollywood.

The same year, Vince McMahon brought the original nWo, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan, into WWE. The villainous group soon met the ‘Great One’ in the ring when he teamed with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin to take on the trio on the March 11th episode of Raw.

Soon after this first encounter, Rock took on and defeated Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18 in Totonto in a dream match between two of the biggest stars to grace the squared circle.

Recently, Nash shared a workout picture on Twitter and mentioned that the sneakers he was wearing had been put out by The Rock himself. The Rock responded to the message saying that Nash was an inspiration and ahad raised the bar with the shape he was in. Nash replied that he was following the former WWE Champion’s lead and praised his work ethic before apologising for how he acted in 2002, claiming he was “trying to keep his spot”.

“Following your lead. You’re work ethic is amazing. You’re filming schedule would kill most mortals but the promotion for your films is the grind. You film and promote at the same time. Sorry I was such a d*ck to you when I came back in 2002. Just trying to keep my spot.”

Kevin Nash was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, both in 2015 for his individual career and then as part of the class of 2020 for his part in the nWo.

While The Rock hasn’t appeared in a match since WrestleMania 32 when he defeated Wyatt Family member Eric Rown in a record six seconds. However, there have been rumours swirling that he will return to face Roman Reigns at a future WrestleMania, although when this could happen is currently up in the air.
