WrestleMania is a hot property and now the Mayor of London, England wants to get on board with WWE’s showpiece event.

WrestleMania 40 broke records for WWE as the two-night event saw The Rock return to the ring for the first time in years and Cody Rhodes finish his story to become WWE Champion.

Now Mayor of London Sadiq Khan wants his city to get in on the act with a press release issued by him noting that his city has what it takes to host WrestleMania:

London is a world leader in major sports events and has been at the heart of some of the most memorable sporting moments of the last few decades…I believe that London has the potential to host the first international WrestleMania.

Will WWE Ever Bring WrestleMania To London?

At Money In The Bank 2023, John Cena made a surprise appearance to tease the crowd and offer his support behind London one day getting to play host to WrestleMania. However, that may not be on the cards.

WWE President Nick Khan has explained how WWE is looking at keeping their big five events in North America while taking other premium live events around the globe. No city has yet been revealed as the host of WrestleMania 41 with both Minneapolis and Las Vegas rumoured to be in the running for the event.

AEW, on the other hand, held All In at Wembley Stadium in London in 2023 and is bringing the event back to Sadiq Khan’s city in August 2024.
