Karrion Kross On Not Discussing Potential Roman Reigns Clash

Many people dream of a match with Roman Reigns, but recently returned WWE SmackDown star Karrion Kross wouldn’t say it out loud.

With plenty of returns to WWE taking place under the stewardship of Triple H, Karrion Kross added his name to the ranks when he appeared on the 2nd September 2022 edition of Friday Night SmackDown alongside Scarlett. His manager put their signature hourglass on the ring apron in front of The Bloodline, signifying that Roman Reigns days as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion were numbered.

Whilst Karrion Kross has made his intentions to go straight after ‘The Head Of The Table’ clear, he spoke in a recent interview with WWE Espanol of how he would mention the names of other potential opponents ahead of his move to the blue brand, but not Reigns.

When I was leaving NXT the first time, and coming to the main roster, my goal was to compete against Roman Reigns. I wanted to be very careful how I wanted to talk about that publicly, because sometimes when you say what you wanna do, publicly, it will never happen.

People would ask me, ‘Do you wanna wrestle Goldberg, do you wanna wrestle Brock Lesnar, do you wanna wrestle Bray Wyatt, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton?’ Yes, across the boards. But I would never ever talk about Roman Reigns, because I didn’t want him to know I was coming.

There has been some speculation that Karrion Kross could be in line to have his opportunity at Roman Reigns at Survivor Series in November. He got involved in Reigns’ title defense against Drew McIntyre at Clash At The Castle, throwing a water bottle at the challenger which allowed the title holder to gain the upper hand.
