John Cena Issues Statement On WWE & UFC Merger

John Cena has given his first comment on the merger of WWE and UFC under Endeavor.

The Endeavor takeover of WWE is complete bringing the sports entertainment giant together with UFC under their new parent company, TKO Group Holdings, Inc.

Vince McMahon has moved to become Executive Chairman of TKO Group and was in New York City for the historic launch of the new company on the New York Stock Exchange.

Taking to social media, John Cena offered his congratulations to all involved in the merger:

“Another historic moment in the evolution of the sports-entertainment industry. Congratulations to everyone involved in today’s massive announcement. @Endeavor@WWE@UFC”

John Cena featured in promo for new company

John Cena was one of the WWE stars featured in the first promotional video released by TKO Group which showcases several WWE and UFC stars. On the WWE side of things, Cena was seen in the video alongside Becky Lynch, Logan Paul, and Jey Uso.

While the merger proves to be an exciting time for those at the top of each company, for the staff, it remains an uncertain one. Nick Khan emailed all WWE staff on the morning of the takeover with a rousing if not reassuring message. Several staff are said to have been “gritting their teeth” regarding the takeover in recent weeks with job losses expected almost immediately.
