John Cena Starring In Summer Movie On Hulu

John Cena as Peacemaker

Once again John Cena will be taking to our screens, as the release date and details for a summer release have been confirmed.

2021 hit comedy movie Vacation Friends will now be getting a sequel, with the original cast being reunited for the project, which will air on 25th August on Hulu in the United States, Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories.

Cena will once again be joined by Lil Rel Howery, Yvonne Orji, & Meredith Hagner whilst the cast for Vacation Friends 2 will also include Carlos Santos, Ronny Chieng, Jamie Hector, and Steve Buscemi.

The synopsis for the film is as follows:

Picking up a few months after the end of “Vacation Friends,” this uproarious sequel finds newly married couple Marcus (Howery) and Emily (Orji) inviting their uninhibited besties Ron (Cena) and Kyla (Hagner), who are also newly married and have a baby, to join them for a vacation when Marcus lands an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort. His reason for traveling there in the first place is to meet with the owners of the resort to bid on a construction contract for a hotel they own in Chicago.

But when Kyla’s incarcerated father Reese (Buscemi) is released from San Quentin and shows up at the resort unannounced at the worst possible moment, things get out of control, upending Marcus’ best laid plans and turning the vacation friends’ perfect trip into total chaos.

John Cena has already commented on the new release on social media.

Before that, John Cena will be in Fast X which is set for release next month. His last foray in to the wrestling ring ended in defeat, after he lost to Austin Theory in a match for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 39.
