John Cena Spoiled WWE Legend’s Retirement Date: “That Snuck Out”
John Cena has shockingly spoiled that another WWE legend is retiring this year.
The Leader of the Cenation hung up his boots last December after losing to Gunther. He was followed by AJ Styles, who also retired earlier this year following a defeat against The Ring General as well.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Cena accidentally spoiled that Brock Lesnar will also retire later this year at SummerSlam. Speaking to Sam Roberts, Van Vliet reflected on that moment, revealing that it caught him by surprise.
Yeah, I feel like that kinda just snuck out. I think he just said it like it was something he had said in other conversations. But it was not public news. So, I went, ‘Oh!’ [11:50 onwards]
Brock Lesnar Confirmed His Current WWE Run Will Be Short
Brock Lesnar returned to the Stamford-based company last August at SummerSlam after three years of absence. He has since made several appearances and competed in a few matches.
The Beast Incarnate will now square off with Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. In an interview with Spittin’ Chiclets ahead of the Show of Shows, the WWE legend revealed that his current run will be short.
I went back to work so I could feed my kids. You guys should see my grocery bill. I had left the company years ago, and I’m grateful that I’m back for a short time here so, I’m really grateful for all the opportunities that I’ve had in my life. [H/T: Fightful]
