John Cena Comments On Upcoming Return To WWE Raw

John Cena on WWE Raw

John Cena has addressed the announcement that he will make his return to WWE on an upcoming edition of Raw.

On the June 6th edition of Raw, WWE made the huge announcement that John Cena will make his return to the red brand. As part of the month-long celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of his debut, Cena will appear on the June 27th episode of WWE’s flagship show when it rolls into Laredo, TX

The announcement comes after the Doctor of Thuganomics appeared to target current United States Champion Theory on social media.

Following the announcement, John Cena took to Twitter to show how excited he is to once again appear in front of the WWE Universe.

“Been far too long and what a special occasion to be able spend with the @WWEUniverse!

“Laredo, TX, C U soon!!! #WWERaw #CenaMonth”

John Cena made a memorable first impression in WWE on the June 27th episode of SmackDown. During the show, he answered an open challenge to face Kurt Angle and demonstrate his “ruthless aggression”. Even though he couldn’t defeat the Olympic gold medalist on that occasion, Cena impressed fans and other WWE Superstars alike in his showing.

The 16-time World Champion has not been seen on WWE TV since last year when the company dubbed July and August the ‘Summer of Cena’. During that time he made a number of television and live events, leading up to the Peacemaker star facing Roman Reigns at the 2021 edition of SummerSlam, only to be another victim of the Tribal Chief.

After the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’ went off the air, Brock Lesnar appeared and gave Cena an unexpected send-off by destroying him with numerous F5’s.
