Joe Hendry Set For Major NXT Championship Defense At Vengeance Day

WWE NXT was off to a fast start tonight as multiple rivalries came to a head in the opening moments of the show. The night began with a grudge match between Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan.

The duo has been fighting with each other for the last few weeks, and Jordan earned a huge win over her rival tonight. Their match was set to be followed by Ricky Saints’ address to the NXT Universe.

However, as Saints was making his way to the arena, he was jumped by the NXT Champion, Joe Hendry, in the parking lot. Hendry was furious with the former NXT Champion after his actions last week.

Joe Hendry set for another NXT Championship defense

Hendry defended his championship against Jackson Drake in his first title defense, but was attacked by Saints following his match. The duo then made their way to the ring and got into a war of words with each other.

Ricky Saints claimed that Hendry isn’t worthy of being the Champion and then challenged him for a huge championship match. Saints challenged Hendry for a title match at next month’s Vengeance Day event.

The champion agreed to Saints’ challenge, and the two men are now set to face each other for the title in a little over two weeks.
