Jim Cornette On Who Should Win Roman Reigns-Logan Paul Match

Jim Cornette is never shy about giving his opinion on pro wrestling topics and now the wrestling legend is giving his take on who should win the Roman Reigns-Logan Paul match.

It was on September 17th in Las Vegas when WWE officially announced that Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul on November 5th at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

While Reigns has been the Universal Champion for over two years, Paul will be competing in just his third WWE match. Why is a guy like Paul getting a championship match in just his third match? Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer said recently that the Saudi Prince wants that match because it will “get press attention around the world for Saudi Arabia so this is a great match for that.”

Even though Reigns has the experience edge, Paul was confident at the press conference while saying that it takes just one shot or one move to get the win and leave as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

During his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the legendary wrestling manager made it clear that he won not like to see Paul beat the Tribal Chief:

“Now I got a problem. Now I got a problem. And I mean, it would kill his career too, because then all the really dedicated fans would hate him for the rest of his life. Because even though he’s an athlete, and he did well, he’s had what, two matches? And now he’s gonna f**king you know [win the title], that would be insane, and the fans would riot.”

Cornette also made a reference to when former WCW Head Writer Vince Russo (who Cornett calls “s**tstain” among other things) put the WCW World Title on actor David Arquette an episode of Thunder in 2000:

“Like they wouldn’t be able to blame sh*tstain like they did for the David Arquette thing, but it would be the same kind of reaction, just bullsh*t. So no, no.”

Logan Paul’s first two WWE matches took place earlier this year. At WrestleMania 38, he teamed up with The Miz to beat Rey & Dominik Mysterio. After the match, The Miz turned on Paul, so Paul got his revenge at SummerSlam by beating Miz in an impressive performance.
