Jey Uso Breaks Character To Praise Fierce WWE Rival

Jey Uso WWE

Jey Uso recently shared his appreciation for one of his fiercest foes in WWE.

Jey is currently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to be a part of the men’s Royal Rumble match, which he won in 2025.

Following his victory last year, Uso challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41. The match was closely fought, with both superstars earning multiple near falls.

However, in a shocking turn of events, The Ring General tapped out to Jey Uso, who put him in a rear-naked chokehold, winning his maiden World Title in the process.

Unfortunately for Jey, his reign lasted a mere 51 days as Gunther reclaimed his title on the June 9 episode of WWE Raw.

The 40-year-old recently spoke on ESPN’s SportsCenter, where he was asked about his last year’s journey between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.

Uso admitted that the wait was difficult, but he enjoyed wrestling the Austrian superstar.

If I could be honest, it was pretty tough. 68 days is a lot to build up, but I enjoyed it. I’m always glad to get in there with The Ring General, one of the best, dopest wrestlers I have ever been in the ring with. I just embraced it. Enjoyed the ride. I took what was given to me.

Jey Uso Confirms Jimmy Uso’s Absence At Royal Rumble

At the Royal Rumble, Jey Uso will be without his twin, Jimmy Uso, who is in the United States, assisting his pregnant wife and former Women’s World Champion Naomi.

Naomi broke the news in August, a month after winning the women’s title for the third time. She ended up relinquishing the title, but not before putting the women’s division on notice.

During the same interview, Jey confirmed that Jimmy was currently in the United States, meaning he had not flown to Saudi Arabia with the other wrestlers.
