Jeff Hardy Returns To AEW On Dynamite

Jeff Hardy made his return to AEW on Dynamite to save his brother Matt and some allies, much to the delight of the crowd.

It was in March 2022 when Jeff Hardy made his AEW debut after being released by WWE three months earlier and now, the former WWE & TNA World Champion is back in AEW.

On the April 12th edition of AEW Dynamite in Milwaukee, Jeff Hardy made the save for his brother Matt, Hook & Isiah Kassidy when they were being attacked by The Firm.

Jeff ran down to the ring with a painted chair, cleaned house with chair shots to the ribs and back and sent big man Big Bill out of the ring. Jeff hit Lee Moriarty with a Twist of Fate followed by a top rope Swanton Bomb to end it while the fans were going crazy for all of it.

This was Jeff’s first time on AEW TV since he was arrested on June 13th, 2022 for driving without a license and being three times over the legal DUI limit.

In February, Jeff’s court case was closed after this sentence from Volusia County was handed down.

  • A 38-day county jail sentence with 38 days credit for time served
  • Two years probation
  • $4586 in fines and court fees
  • A 10-year suspension of his driver’s license
  • Two years with an interlock device and 90-day vehicle impoundment
  • Court-mandated DUI school or drug rehab program
  • Community service

Recently, Matt Hardy claimed that Jeff Hardy would return in about six to eight weeks. Clearly, Matt was off with that timeline, perhaps intentionally.

The last match that Jeff Hardy wrestled was at Double or Nothing on May 19th, 2022 when The Hardy brothers beat The Young Bucks in tag team action. Jeff Hardy was only active in AEW for about three months prior to his arrest.

In addition to his Dynamite return, AEW has also released new Jeff Hardy merchandise as well.
