Jade Cargill looks likely to become a WWE Superstar.
Fightful Select has reported that Jade Cargill is likely to finish up with AEW not long after returning to TV for the company on Collision where she first helped and then attacked the woman who defeated her for the TBS Championship, Kris Statlander.
A match between the two was booked for Rampage to air on the 15th of September – the bout was filmed on the 13th of September – which was sooner than many anticipated. That is down to the fact that Cargill is due to finish up with the company and sources within AEW believe she is headed to WWE.
The report cannot confirm how long Jade Cargill has left on her AEW contract with the belief that there were option years in play but it is unknown which party held those options. The rumour mill among the roster in both AEW and WWE believes that the former TBS Champion will be crossing the divide and joining WWE.
Jade Cargill could land knockout blow for TKO
The unofficial hiring freeze in place in WWE due to the impending takeover by Endeavor has ended and Nia Jax has already returned to the company. It is an exciting time for the sports entertainment giant as it is now merged with UFC under the TKO Group’s umbrella, potentially meaning even greater exposure for WWE Superstars which could include Jade Cargill in the near future.
Some may find this recent development surprising given that Cargill recently was quoted as saying that there was “no other place I would want to be” in relation to her wrestling career as she heaped praise on AEW boss Tony Khan.
