IYO SKY Set For WWE WrestleMania Dream Match After Rhea Ripley Split

Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley were featured in an emotional segment on WWE Raw.

After 53 days as the Women’s Tag Team Champions, the duo lost their titles to Nia Jax and Lash Legend on SmackDown ahead of the Elimination Chamber PLE.

Despite the setback, Ripley overcame five other challengers to win the Women’s Elimination Chamber match and will challenge Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42.

On the March 2 episode of the red brand, Ripley addressed the recent title loss, stating it “really sucks.”

Nevertheless, she had another job at hand, which was to go to SmackDown and stand toe-to-toe with ‘The Storm’ Jade Cargill.

Both Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky also looked back on their tag team journey, which began just before Crown Jewel and culminated in a victory over the Kabuki Warriors at the Perth PLE.

As Ripley now heads to SmackDown, fans have been wondering how WWE will use The Genius of the Sky. Turns out, they might have plans to feature her, too, at WrestleMania.

Iyo Sky To Feud With Giulia

Like Iyo Sky, Giulia is an exceptional fighter, but has yet to receive her flowers.

On SmackDown, The Beautiful Madness is the current WWE Women’s United States Champion in her second reign.

Both Sky and Giulia were set to clash on the February 20 episode of the blue brand, but Sky was replaced by Rhea Ripley at the last minute.

Reports later claimed that WWE was saving the match between the Japanese superstars for a later date.

A new report on Self Made Sessions revealed WWE’s plans for Sky following her split from Ripley.

IYO SKY — they postponed her match with Giulia, which I was told is for creative reasons. So they’re holding that off until WrestleMania. With regards to IYO, she’s going to be on Mania.
