The Royal Rumble just got a whole lot bigger as one WWE star will be in the match for the first time since 2023.

The Royal Rumble field is stacking up, with over half the field announced for the men’s match to take place on January 31st in Saudi Arabia.

Roman Reigns has been confirmed for the bout as he looks to win the Rumble for the second time in his career. One man who has already racked up two wins in the Rumble has now confirmed he’s coming back to go for the hat trick, as Brock Lesnar announced his entry into the Rumble match.

WWE Confirm Brock Lesnar Return

WWE has now made it official that The Beast Incarnate will be returning to the ring, with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce taking to social media to simply state:

It is official.

Brock Lesnar was last in the Royal Rumble back in 2023, the year that Cody Rhodes won the match for the first time. Lesnar was meant to return to action at the 2024 Royal Rumble, but that appearance was pulled after he was named dozens of times in the sexual abuse lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon. That suit is still rumbling on, but WWE made the decision to bring Lesnar back into the fold in the summer of 2025, regardless.

The announcement might also come as a bitter pill to Finn Balor. Adam Pearce told Balor the Royal Rumble match was full on Raw – before Lesnar’s announcement – and therefore he couldn’t have a place in the match.
