La Primera has an injured ankle, and her belt is broken, so what’s next?

Stephanie Vaquer is recovering from an ankle injury but is still able to make appearances on WWE TV, albeit with an ankle support.

La Primera made an appearance twice in the last two weeks on Raw and on both occasions was attacked by fellow Spaniard and arch rival, Raquel Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, who is in hot pursuit of the Women’s World Championship, attacked Stephanie Vaquer a couple of weeks ago amid her promo on Raw, doing damage to her injured ankle with a steel chair.

This past week on Raw, Rodriguez was interviewed by Michael Cole near the titantron when Vaquer cameout to confront her. Rodriguez mercilessly attacked the champion again, and this time, smacked her ankle with the title belt, damaging it in the process.

Stephanie Vaquer Not Vacating WWE Women’s World Championship

Despite the ankle injury, Vaquer is still able to make television appearances and is reportedly not going to vacate her title. Sean Ross Sapp confirmed this via Fightful Select and gave a full update for concerned fans of Stephanie Vaquer’s.

As of this past week, there was no plan for Stephanie to vacate the title,” Sapp confirmed. “In fact, there were tentative creative plans for her next defense—which, I mean, they’re setting up an angle with Raquel Rodriguez. We see that on TV every week.

She sustained an ankle sprain and needed a walking boot. She was always cleared for contact, but obviously wrestling on that is a bad idea,

So, unless something catastrophic has happened, she’s not vacating the title.

Raquel even posted the damage she did to Vaquer’s title belt on X.
