Truth Revealed Over Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Status

Stephanie Vaquer

The truth has come to light about WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer’s apparent injury.

Seth Rollins was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship in late 2025 after suffering a nasty injury in a match with Cody Rhodes. The Women’s World Title was vacated earlier that year when Naomi announced she was pregnant.

That means there could have been great concern in WWE when Stephanie Vaquer appeared on the first Raw of 2026, revealing she had suffered a leg injury. However, she was then attacked by Raquel Rodriguez, leading many to believe that Vaquer’s injury was merely part of a storyline. But that’s not exactly the case.

Stephanie Vaquer’s Injury Is Real

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that while Vaquer’s injury is real, it’s not as serious as being made out on WWE television:

She has a legitimate injury, but it’s a minor injury; it’s not as big of an injury as they’re playing up.

I know that they (Raquel Rodriguez & Stephanie Vaquer) were supposed to do a match on TV in the next two weeks. I didn’t get the date, but I don’t know if it’s going to be quite as soon. But I heard she was going to be cleared pretty quick, so it’s a minor injury, but it’s a real injury.

On Raw in Düsseldorf, Germany, Raquel Rodriguez attacked again, this time breaking a WWE championship belt.
