Injured WWE Star Spotted Backstage At SmackDown

Big E Langston vs. Randy Orton on WWE SmackDown

A top WWE star who’s been out for over a year was spotted in Orlando, FL ahead of tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

Former WWE Champion Big E hasn’t been seen inside a WWE ring since suffering a broken neck back in March of 2022. E was teaming with Kofi Kingston to take on the team of Sheamus and Ridge Holland when he landed awkwardly after an overhead belly-to-belly suplex from Holland, and he later confirmed that he’d fractured his C1 and C2 vertebrae.

The star was able to avoid surgery, but the road to recovery is a long one. He underwent one-year scans shortly after WrestleMania 39, and while he says he has no function issues or pain currently, he’s not in a rush to return to in-ring action if it could put his long-term health at risk. He’s made it clear that he wants to make the best decision for his future.

As recently as July 7th, the star confirmed that there is no timetable for his return to in-ring action despite “feeling 100%.”

Now, a report from PWInsider reveals that Big E has been spotted entering the Amway Center in Orlando, FL ahead of tonight’s episode of SmackDown. There is no word as to whether or not there are plans for him to appear on the broadcast or whether he’s simply visiting as he lives nearby.
