Injured WWE Star Says Time Away From The Ring Is “Hard” – “I Just Want To Wrestle”

Braun Strowman took to social media to express frustration over being away from the ring due to injury.

The Monster of All Monsters hasn’t competed inside a WWE ring since the May 1st episode of Raw, when he and Ricochet successfully defeated Alpha Academy.

In early June, Strowman took to social media to reveal that he’d undergone neck fusion surgery, writing:

“Road to recovery starts now!!!! Level one #fusion on my c4/c5 #vertebrae was in the great hands of #DrCordover at @andrews_sports_medicine was a great experience considering. Thank you to @wwe for always taking the up most care of us. This was very scary to find out about having to have done and they were there every step of the way reassuring that I was going to have the best care possible. This will take a little bit of time to heal from. But I assure you ( in the words of the #Terminator ) I’ll be back!!!! Thank you all in advance for the well wishes.”

While he was able to begin weight training again this past week, the star is far from an in-ring return as he’s likely to be out of action well into 2024. Taking to Twitter today, Strowman expressed frustration at being out of action once again, especially after coming back to the company following his 2021 release.

“I’m not gonna lie. This is hard. I hate not being able to do what I love. Especially after it was taken away from me two years ago. Being back where I love and then again having it taken away again by things that I couldn’t control yet again is hard. I just want to wrestle!”
