Injured WWE Star Potentially Returning On Raw

A former Universal Champion could be returning on the second night of the WWE Draft taking place on Raw.

The last time Braun Strowman competed in a WWE ring was on the May 1st, 2023 episode of Raw. On that night, Strowman teamed with his tag team partner Ricochet to defeat Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable & Otis in a short match that went only three minutes.

It was on June 2, 2023 when Strowman announced that he had a level one fusion surgery on his C4/C5 vertebrae, which has led to Strowman missing nearly a full year of in-ring action.

Since his surgery, Strowman has posted many updates about his rehab along the way while also making many promotional appearances for the company.

There is good news for fans of Strowman because PWInsider Elite has reported that Strowman is at tonight’s April 29th episode of Raw in Kansas City which will be night two of the annual WWE Draft. Just because Strowman is there doesn’t mean that he will be on the show, but it’s certainly a possibility.

An appearance from Strowman may not come as a complete shock because he appears on the graphic showing what wrestlers are eligible to be drafted during the WWE Draft on Raw. If Strowman was still going to be out a long time then he likely wouldn’t be featured on the graphic.

When Did Braun Strowman Return To WWE?

Braun Strowman has had two runs during his career with World Wrestling Entertainment. The 6’8″ and 380-pound “Monster Among Men” signed with the company in 2013 and was a part of the company for eight years. During that initial run, Strowman held the WWE Universal Championship once while having a lengthy rivalry with Roman Reigns.

After being released by WWE in the summer of 2021, Strowman returned to the company in late summer of 2022 when Triple H took over as WWE’s Chief Content Officer meaning he was in charge of booking after Vince McMahon retired in July 2022. Strowman was one of the first wrestlers who was re-hired when Triple H took over.

Prior to his neck injury, Strowman was part of a tag team with Ricochet as a duo that had an interesting mix of power and speed.
