Identity Of Logan Paul’s Next WWE Opponent Leaked

Logan Paul

A report might have given away Logan Paul’s next challenger.

Logan Paul hasn’t wrestled since winning the United States Title at Crown Jewel with a win over Rey Mysterio. After losing the gold, Mysterio was attacked by Santos Escobar on SmackDown writing him off television so he could get surgery on a long-standing knee injury.

Meanwhile, Paul announced the creation of a tournament to decide on a new number-one contender, who he is expected to face at the Royal Rumble. The tournament is now at the semi-final stage with Kevin Owens set to take on Carmelo Hayes and Santos Escobar scheduled to face Bobby Lashley. Both matches will take place on the December 22nd episode of SmackDown.

Reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that current plans call for Paul to defend his US Title against Owens.

“Roman Reigns will defend the Universal title in a match not fully locked in. It would appear to be Randy Orton as the opponent but also could be a multiple person match. There will be a match on the 1/5 Smackdown show with A.J. Styles vs. Orton vs. L.A. Knight that will lead to that match. Logan Paul vs. Kevin Owens for the U.S. title is also expected.”

Logan Paul “Perfect” For WWE

Speaking after his win at Crown Jewel, Logan Paul said he’d finally found his calling in WWE. The YouTube star described WWE as “perfect” for him as it combines much of what he loves in life.

“I think it’s fun for me people seem to enjoy it and truthfully Jazzy I think at age 27 I found my calling. I gotta say I’m good at it. Jazzy you’re looking at the US champ, the best WWE has seen in a while so I’m gonna be at it for a minute.”

Paul has only wrestled eight matches in his WWE career but has continued to earn praise for his performances with many seasoned observers amazed by his progress.
