Huge Update On Dominik Mysterio’s WWE Status Amid Absence
A positive update has emerged about Dominik Mysterio’s WWE status.
Mysterio suffered a shoulder injury at AAA Guerra de Titanes on December 20 during his tag team match with El Grande Americano against his father, Rey Mysterio, and Rey Fenix.
The injury was subsequently addressed on Raw, which was a setback for The Judgment Day faction, considering JD McDonagh was reported as being injured not long ago.
Later, it was reported that Dominik’s injury is not serious enough to warrant surgery, and around 3-4 weeks of rest should be enough before he can return to the squared circle.
Elsewhere, his kayfabe beau, Liv Morgan, along with her stablemate Roxanne Perez, won a #1 Contenders match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship by defeating the Kabuki Warriors and the duo of Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.
They will challenge Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIII on January 24.
Now, Morgan has provided another update, claiming that Dominik Mysterio will return to WWE soon.
Dominik Mysterio To Make WWE Return ‘Soon’
Appearing on Raw Recap with Roxanne Perez, Liv Morgan said that Dominik Mysterio was recovering at home, while attesting that he deserved rest considering he carried the brand throughout 2025.
Daddy Dom, he’s home resting. He’s just recovering. We’re just playing it safe. He is, after all, our double champion. He is, as of right now, the crown jewel of The Judgment Day so we protect and cater to Daddy Dom and we’re just playing it safe with him and he’ll be back soon.
But, he’s doing some well-deserved R&R. He was quite literally running Monday Night Raw for like the last full year. You don’t think that Daddy Dom deserves a little bit of a break? A little bit of a rest? A little bit of an off day? A little bit of a reprieve? My goodness. [H/T: Fightful]
