How The Usos Were Written Off Montreal WWE SmackDown

The Usos

WWE has apparently found a way to write The Usos off of the upcoming SmackDown in Montreal with legal issues preventing Canadian travel.

On SmackDown, Sami Zayn finally got to talk to Jey Uso who walked out of the beatdown of him at the Royal Rumble but returned to the show to successfully defend his SmackDown Tag Team Championship with Jimmy. Meanwhile, Paul Heyman was at his lurking best as he sought to keep an eye on what was happening in The Bloodline for Roman Reigns.

Heyman informed Jimmy Uso that The Tribal Chief’s orders were for The Usos to stay home from SmackDown in Montreal to get a “television perspective” and noted that you see a lot more watching the show from home than you do in the arena.

The real reason, however, that The Usos could be missing from the show which will be held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is down to past legal issues. Jey Uso did feature backstage on a show held in Winnipeg back in September 2022 but Jimmy Uso is believed to be barred from the country as a result of picking up five DUI charges, the last of those coming in 2021.

The Usos status for the Elimination Chamber remains unknown at this time, they are not scheduled to compete on the show but ordinarily, they would be expected to feature alongside Roman Reigns who will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn.
