Hit Row Returns To WWE On Smackdown

The group known as Hit Row is back in WWE after making their surprise return this week on Smackdown.

The Hit Row group is back in WWE after they were released last November. The trio consists of Top Dolla, Ashante “Thee” Adonis and B-Fab entered to the familiar music that they used in NXT as well as their short run on Smackdown.

That appearance led to Top Dolla and Ashante Adonis facing a local tag team and beating them easily in under two minutes. After the win, the trio reminded us who they were by telling us their names and showing a lot of charisma as usual.

It was reported by PWInsider on Thursday that Top Dolla was expected to be at Smackdown this week although there was no mention of Adonis or B-Fab. Obviously, the WWE creative team led by Triple H felt that the trio should be back in the company and they will likely add depth in the men’s tag team division.

The quartet of Swerve, Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis & B-Fab were called up to the WWE main roster as part of the WWE Draft in October 2021. For some strange reason, even though they barely got to wrestle or do promos, they were released in November 2021. It was a shocking move considering they really didn’t get a chance to show what they can do.

Shortly after Hit Row did their thing on Smackdown, former Hit Row member Isiah “Swerve” Scott (now in AEW as Swerve Strickland) tweeted this Snoop Dogg GIF nodding his head in approval. Swerve is currently an AEW Tag Team Champion along with Keith Lee, who was also released by WWE last year.

Fans unfamiliar with the Hit Row group may know Top Dolla by his real name AJ Francis because he was the host of the WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures series that was on A&E. The second season of Most Wanted Treasures is filming now with PWInsider reporting that Lita may be the regular host of the show.

The return of the popular Hit Row group follows Karrion Kross & Scarlett coming back to WWE on Smackdown last week and Dexter Lumis returning on Raw. As we reported earlier today, WWE is planning on more returns in the weeks and months ahead.

Like Hit Row says, if you didn’t know…now you know.
