Hangman Page’s AEW Revolution Opponent Revealed After World Title Match At Grand Slam

Hangman Adam Page AEW World Champion

The main event of AEW Grand Slam Australia saw the promotion’s top prize be defended in front of a packed crowd at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Hangman Adam Page defeated Andrade earlier in the night to become the next challenger for the AEW World Championship. Brody King faced MJF tonight after he made a big deal about King not being worthy of a shot at the World Title.

Brody has been after MJF since he disrespected Bandido after defeating him for the title last month on Dynamite Maximum Carnage. He then defeated MJF in an Eliminator match to earn a shot at the title tonight.

MJF to walk into AEW Revolution as champion

MJF took control of the match early on before Brody King made his way back into the fight. They exchanged momentum for a while before MJF gained the upper hand once again.

He then looked to choke King out before Bandido came out to support his tag team partner. Brody King was buoyed by his partner’s presence and came close to winning the belt on multiple occasions.

The Salt of the Earth ultimately retained his title after hitting King with a tombstone on the ring apron, before following it up with a Heatseeker to retain the AEW World Championship. He was then confronted by Hangman Adam Page, and their Revolution match was made official.
