Grayson Waller has a unique celebration planned if he wins a championship in his native homeland.

WWE have announced that they will be bringing the Elimination Chamber to Perth in February 2024 and Waller is hoping to be featured prominently on the card.

When asked by Sporting News Australia who he would like to face at the Australian Premium Live Event, Waller responded that he wants to face a champion and win a title in his home country. If the Aussie wins the match he already knows how he will make the victory taste even sweeter:

“To me, there isn’t a person for this answer. For me, it’s about the moment. One thing I haven’t done in WWE is win a championship. My whole time in NXT, I had opportunities, I just couldn’t succeed. This is a situation where, if you give me a championship match in front of my home crowd, I’m not losing. I’m bringing out that golden shoey, I’m doing that golden shoey in front of 75,000 people in Perth. To me, it doesn’t matter who the champion is, whether it’s the United States Champion, the World Champion, whatever it is, that’s what I want. I want the biggest test of my career, I want to be put in there against the best. I don’t care who it is. I want the best, I want them across the ring, I want to prove myself in front of my friends and family,”

For those that don’t know, a shoey is a celebration popular in Australia where someone will fill a shoe with alcohol and drink out of it. The move has been popularised in recent years by Australian F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, who would celebrate a race victory in the unique way.

Grayson Waller Trades Insults With John Cena

One of Waller’s most famous segments in 2023 came when the rising star interrupted John Cena’s plea for London to be the host of a future WrestleMania. Grayson Waller would go on to say that the segment at Money in the Bank was “surreal.” Much to the delight of Waller, currently Australia does have a PLE scheduled for 2024 while the UK still is without a major show for the following year.
