Former WWE World Champion Shares Update Following Knee Surgery
An ex-WWE world champion recently underwent a successful knee surgery.
Jinder Mahal took to Instagram to post a video containing snippets from his first day of rehabilitation.
He captioned the video, detailing the breakdown of the surgery:
2 loose bodies removed + meniscus trimmed. Surgery went well, now comes the recovery.
In the video, he can be seen in discussions with a medical professional while adhering to exercise instructions.
The 39-year-old star has experienced issues with his knee for some time. He recently claimed that a botched knee surgery during his time in WWE only exacerbated the problem.
His latest surgery appears to be the answer to his earlier troubles. It remains to be seen when the Canadian star returns to the squared circle.
Jinder Mahal was primarily a heel during his stint with the Stamford promotion, during which he won the WWE Championship and United States Championship once.
He was released in April 2024, following which he began wrestling in the indies.
Former WWE Champion Could Miss Up To One Year Of In-Ring Action
Seth Rollins was recently stripped of his World Heavyweight Championship after it was revealed that he had suffered an injury at Crown Jewel.
WWE wrote Rollins off after featuring him in a segment on RAW where The Vision members betrayed him.
While the exact timeline about his return remains unknown, Nick Nemeth believes it could take one year off the former champion’s in-ring time if the actual problem involves the rotator cuff.
Meanwhile, the promotion organized a 20-man battle royal match to determine the challenger for CM Punk to face at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI.
Jey Uso emerged as the winner to set up the clash on November 1.
