Brock Lesnar’s alleged issue with facing this major WWE star could have made him rush his initial retirement move, says a former WWE star.

Brock Lesnar issued an open challenge leading up to WrestleMania 42, and the Ruler, Oba Femi, soon answered it.

Femi, who had briefly squared off against Lesnar in the ring during his main roster debut at the Royal Rumble earlier this year after being promoted from NXT, had fans hyped for a match between the two titans.

After Femi answered the Beast’s challenge, the pair feuded for weeks in the build-up to WrestleMania 42, and it was Femi who looked like he had the upper hand in every face-off.

The two eventually met at the Showcase of the Immortals, and Femi squashed Lesnar in under 5 minutes for one of the biggest wins of his career. However, the real shock came soon after the match was over when Lesnar took off his gloves and boots and left them in the ring, signalling retirement.

Wth his manager, Paul Heyman, emotional and in tears at this move, the WWE Universe was fully convinced that this was it for the Beast Incarnate. However, another twist in the tale came on the latest episode of Raw when Brock Lesnar shockingly returned to pick Oba Femi up and delivered four thunderous F-5s to the Ruler.

A contract was signed later, and now Lesnar will face Femi in a rematch at Clash in Italy in a couple of weeks.

Former WWE star Johnathan Coachman smells a conspiracy, though, and says Lesnar rushed his retirement because rumour had it he would have to face the Career Killer, Gunther, at SummerSlam for his retirement, which he allegedly didn’t want.

Johnathan Coachman Shares His Thoughts On Brock Lesnar’s Sudden Retirement And Return

The Coach said on the Coach and Bro Show that he thinks Lesnar decided to retire at WrestleMania 42 because word was that he would otherwise have to retire at the hands of Gunther, the man who has been retiring legends of late.

Coachman said that WWE’s treatment of Gunther’s character is probably why Brock didn’t want his legacy to end by losing to him.

Here’s what I believe happened… Sometimes there are stories out there that are true because they throw that stuff against the wall. Occasionally, they’re right. So, if you’re Brock Lesnar and you’re reading this stuff, your career is going to end in Minneapolis to Gunther, and then you watch what Gunther has done, or more importantly, what he hasn’t done or what they haven’t done with him.

Do you really think he would want his legacy to end with Gunther? Hell to the no. So, what he did was. I’ll retire at WrestleMania and then when they call me back in May. I’ll say this is what I want to do,
