Former WWE Champion Wins First Match In 218 Days On NXT Tonight

The NXT Interim General Manager, Robert Stone, had announced a packed show for tonight, which saw multiple high-stakes matches take place on the show.

Kelani Jordan got a win back on Lola Vice after she had defeated her in singles action last month. The night also saw Ricky Saints earning himself a shot at the NXT Championship before a major grudge match.

Former North American Champion, Tony D’Angelo, made his return to the company in December and has since been involved in various attacks. He has been after DarkState since his return as they took everything from him on WWE NXT.

Tony D’Angelo bags first WWE NXT win in months

While he made his return to the promotion at WWE NXT Deadline in December, following which he hadn’t wrestled any match. He made his in-ring return tonight and defeated Cutler James in one-on-one action.

This marked his first televised win in 218 days as he last won a triple threat match back in July 2025. Following his win over Cutler, he was attacked by Dion Lennox as he was present at ringside.

The two jumped D’Angelo and attacked him, but he overpowered them and took out Lennox. He looked to smash his ankle between two ring steps before he was pulled away from the predicament by James.
